Does anyone remember this fantastic show that was on TV in 2004-2005 (only 2 series)

It's Marnie McBride's 11th Birthday and her life is about to change forever.

Entering an old junk shop she discovers a dusty shoebox. Inside are four beautifully carved animals that unexpectedly spring to life at her command.

Marnie doesn't know it yet, but it's her fate to be touched by dangerous and irresistable magic. She's about to set off on an epic quest, in search of an alchemist's Book of Forbidden Knowledge, lost a millennium ago in the borders of Scotland.

there was a second series which was set in Denver Colorado and it did have a horse in it, I will try finding some more information
